Not A chocolate chip cookie. Not just Any chocolate chip cookie. This is THE Chocolate Chip Cookie. Chewy, crispy edges and just the right flavor. There is no going back after this recipe!
2 1/4 cups Flour
1/2 tsp Baking Soda
1 cup Butter, softened
1/2 cup White sugar
1 cup Brown sugar
1 tsp Salt
2 tsp Vanilla Extract
2 Eggs
12 oz (about 2 cups) Chocolate Chips, semi-sweet
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Stir together the flour, baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl, beat the butter, white sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add in the eggs and vanilla and mix well. Stir in the chocolate chips. At this point, refrigerate the dough! It makes the cookies spread evenly and keep their chewiness. After 10-15 minutes make the dough into tablespoon sized balls and place on a baking sheet 2 inches apart. Bake 8-10 minutes or until golden on the edges. Wait until the cookies have collapsed and are a little wrinkly on top, just a couple of minutes, before you remove to cool. This keeps the cookies intact!
